Serving Our Addiction Professionals
NAADAC and its affiliates are heavilly involved in bringing the latest training, workshops and networking opportunities to its membership throughout the United States. Listed below are the NAADAC sanctioned trainings for Tennessee and NAADAC for the upcoming year.


NAADAC National Conference on Addiction Disorders
Washington, DC | September 8-11, 2010

For the first time, a national conference has been developed that combined the power of NAADAC and NAATP, with the audience of Addiction Professional and Behavioral Healthcare magazines.

The National Conference on Addiction Disorders (NCAD) has been formed by combining the long-time SECAD conference and the annual, national NAADAC conference into one. The agenda will consist of programs and tracks that deal not only with treatment, but administration, finance, design, technical, and medical professional issues as well.

MTAADAC 2010 Journey Together Conference
Held each year in September in Nashville, TN., the overall goal of the conference is to bring together professionals working with substance abuse prevention and treatment. Participants will explore a variety of topics related to the medical, psychological, and familial aspects of the disease of addiction and will share knowledge, expertise, and resource networking.

Participants who attend this conference will:

  • Explore the impact of alcohol and drug use on adolescent, adult and older adult clients and family systems;
  • Be introduced to the latest research and clinical interventions in addressing the relationship between alcohol and drug use, mood disorders, abuse, other addictions and the newest treatment modalities;
  • Understand and practice creative and unique treatment approaches, identifying other addictions, treatment issues when working with adolescents and older adults, addressing relapse prevention, and other professional issues.

    ETAADAC 2010 Smoky Mountain Conference for Addiction Professionals
    This years conference will again be held at the beautiful Park Vista Hotel in Gatlinburg, Tennessee and include some of the required core function courses needed to satisfy Tennessee licensure requirements. Participants will explore a variety of topics related to the medical, psychological, and familial aspects of the disease of addiction and will share knowledge, expertise,
    and resource networking.
